Style Inspiration: Anthropologie October 2012

Just got the new Anthropologie October 2012 catalog yesterday and immediately loved how each shot was like a lovely piece of Spanish art.  Rich and elegant, these are some of my favorite pieces from the Barcelona-inspired shoot.

Welcome Autumn

Even though we’re suffering crazy heat here in Los Angeles, I’m still pretty jazzed that my favorite season is officially here. The weather, the fashion, the pre-holiday buzz…  Welcome Autumn!

NAM for Harbor City Chocolate Trail

This is a really cool campaign that I found on Colossal, which I’ve been meaning to post.  According to Colossal:

First: everything in these photos, liquid typography included, is part of a single photograph, and if you don’t believe it just watch the video. This new series of ads was created by art/design collective NAM […] for the Harbour City Chocolate Trail, a charity project for the Hong Kong Blood Cancer Foundation. The series uses their signature method of suspending objects and people with strings and cables to create weightless environments that appear to be caught mid-explosion. See many more photos and behind the scenes videos of the project here.

Ben Heine: Pencil vs Camera

Woo, vacation day for me! Why? Because yesterday was my birthday and I just plain didn’t feel like working today. That’s what personal days are for, right? 🙂

Hope ya’ll had a great weekend and have a great Monday!

To start off your week, check out this cool series by Ben Heine called Pencil vs Camera. Hand drawings overlapping photographs to produce these amazing images. Why can’t I be this clever?

This series sorta reminds me of the travel souvenir photos series, too.
