Halloween Ideas: Part IV

Ok, just kidding. Here are a few more ideas that I recently found. ūüôā

BURNING PUMPKINS

{via Apartment Therapy}

Such a clever use of pumpkins! Carve them to create flames in your fireplace. Not so down with the actual flame candles placed around them, though.

SANDWITCHES

{via Lisa Storms}

Puhaha! So funny I had to share. Little witches legs stuck in the sandwiches. Super cute.

HALLOWEEN TABLESCAPES

{via Etsy}

A Halloween tablescape inspiration image from Etsy. I like the ideas for adding punches of color and decoration by incorporating things that are actually orange/black (vs. buying/making/coloring decor & edibles).

{via Hostess (with the Mostess)}

And another from Hostess {with the Mostess}. That is such a cute banner and the random blackbirds are a cute touch.

This is pretty funny and very clever. If you have kids, this would be such a cute project. Heck, as long as you have feet, this would be a fun project!

DING DONG THE WITCH IS DEAD

{via Oh So Beautiful Paper}

Unfortunately, this one is not a freebie, but I thought the idea was so great, I wanted to post it. If you can manage it, this would be an AWESOME topper for your cupcakes or other sweet treats.

BEWITCHED BROOMSTICKS

{via Hostess (with the Mostess)}

Agghh. How cute!! DIY for making these cute little broomsticks.

BLACK VELVET WHOOPIE PIES

{via i am baker}

These are pretty. And look so rich and decadent. Would be great for a party. You could probably play with the food colorings and make them more fun for a kids party (think slime).

I think this is the end of my Halloween inspiration series, though I might end up putting up a few more Halloween-y posts. Hope you liked these ideas!

FREE PRINTABLE: BUGS & KISSES

For personal use only, you can download these free Bugs & Kisses printables from Tammy Mitchell Designs’ site. What a great favor idea! Plastic spiders and some Hershey’s kisses. Love it.

HALLOWEEN OWL CUPCAKES

{via lulu at home}

Why, hello there, Mr. Owl, with your big ol’ cutie pie eyes!

Oh, lordy, but he is adorable. This is one of those ideas you just gotta love. It’s just so versatile.

~ Use your favorite cupcake recipe and chocolate frosting.
~ Shortcut it by using store bought cupcakes.
~ Can’t you imagine using this method for making… a frog cupcake (reposition the eyes higher up)… an alien cupcake… or you could buy the vanilla-cream cookies to try a different character…¬†Or let your kids decide. hehe.

SKULL POTATO STAMP

{via Martha Stewart}

A budget-friendly way to decorate favor bags! The skull template is included, but if you feel up to it, you can bust out your carving skills and get creative with it.

Halloween Ideas: Part I

Sharing some fun ideas for Halloween that I’ve found. ūüôā

FANGED PUMPKINS

{via Martha Stewart}

How cute are these! I found these (too late) last year and thought they were such a funny, clever idea. They totally crack me up.

PAPER MICE

{via Martha Stewart}

These look so great on stairs and the floors. You could also put them with any table that’s against a wall or have them climb up various pieces of furniture. Use your imagination and get your creepy on.

DIY HALLOWEEN TREAT CONTAINERS

{via PaperVine}

Here is a DIY from PaperVine that shows you how to make these cute Halloween treat containers. Once you’ve got the method down, you could adjust to make them various sizes. This is a versatile project — would be really cute for party favors, too. Just switch it up with different paper!

BLACK VELVET SPIDER CUPCAKES

{via Pastry Affair}

Ok, seriously, how cool are these spider cupcakes! I wish I was hosting a Halloween party just so I could make these. In the photo, spider cupcake holders are used, but the recipe states that black licorice can be used to form the legs. So awesome.

Anouk Vogel: Folding For Peace

Oh, how PRETTY!!

Folding For Peace is a project located in¬†Nagasaki, Japan and realised in 2011 by landscape architect, Anouk Vogel.¬†Comissioned by the Gardening World Cup, Vogel’s project was awarded the Silver Medal & the Special Judges Award at the¬†Festival of Flowers and World Peace.

According to her site:

An ancient Japanese legend promises that anyone who folds a thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish, such as long life or recovery from illness or injury. Inspired by this popular belief, the garden Folding For Peace is the physical remain of a wish for world peace. All the plants that compose the garden are folded out of white paper.
