Almost Invisible Tree Houses

Almost invisible tree houses built by Tham & Videgard in Sweden as part of a tree hotel. The units are made from sustainably harvested wood and have electric radiant floor heating.  They are meant to blend into the surroundings by reflecting it, but will be covered in a film that only birds can see to prevent the bird crashes that would otherwise be inevitable. While this is a very cool feat, I’m not sure how I feel about it. Part of me feels like it’s just a more stealthy way of encroaching on nature, though I suppose if people are going to encroach, going in stealth mode would be preferable. And there’s no question this is a pretty amazing accomplishment.
